Under the supervision of the World Bank, the Center of Examinations and Educational Evaluation (NCEEE) conducts the national assessment study for general education and Al Azhar education in Arabic language and mathematics for K-12 students. The exams are developed using BPT and scaled using IRT.In the second year of the study (2023), NCEEE decided to implement iScore™ and the On-Screen Marking (OSM) module of Assessment Gourmet™ to scan OMR answer booklets, score open-ended questions, and generate results. Each year, the study sample includes approximately 20,000 students and a total of 60,000 booklets, including school and teacher questionnaires. 200 raters use the OSM modules to score the test booklets, following high-security procedures to ensure accuracy.
