Cairo University, the largest university in the Middle East and North Africa, has 200,000 students and 20,000 faculty members. In 2020, the University President decided to digitize the learning and assessment processes. The University purchased the Smart Campus platform, including the Assessment Gourmet and Blackboard Learn systems. The assessment system will support both formative and official exams across all colleges. It includes ten modules that enable the development of item banks and the delivery of both paper-based and online tests. Students can take online exams either on campus or from home, with the system ensuring high levels of security and stability. Additionally, the assessment system is integrated with the learning systems for ease of use.
